Over 100 restaurants participate in each event

From its beginnings in January 2012 with 13 restaurants participating, the event has bloomed into a behemoth, transforming what were the two quietest weeks of the year for restaurants into two of the busiest.

With more than 100 venues taking part, the event sees over 50,000 diners take advantage of £15, £20, and £25 menus in many of Newcastle's finest eateries and delivers an economic boost for the sector in excess of £2mn across the two events each year.

Newcastle Restaurant Week has become one of the most eagerly anticipated events in the city's annual calendar, with newcomers to the area regularly signing up for the event in advance thanks to their awareness of its impact.

Backed by a heavyweight cross-channel marketing campaign, as well as extensive press, radio, and television coverage, and an exhaustive social media presence, Newcastle Restaurant Week continues to deliver tangible benefits to participating venues when they need it most.
