From its beginnings in January 2012 with 13 restaurants participating, the event has bloomed into a behemoth, transforming what were the two quietest weeks of the year for restaurants into two of the busiest.
With more than 120 venues taking part, the event sees over 60,000 diners take advantage of £15, £20, and £25 menus in many of Newcastle's finest eateries and delivers an economic boost for the sector in excess of £2mn across the two events each year.
